The tanning ledge is what separates the Corinthian 14 from the 12. It is molded directly into the fiberglass shell at the shallow end of the pool, providing a 6 to 8 inch water depth zone for lounging in the sun. At 14 feet wide the ledge has room for multiple people at once, which is exactly the experience most homeowners are looking for when they add this feature. The ledge is where pool days begin and end for most families.
Because it is part of the shell, the tanning ledge requires no separate installation and no extra maintenance. It is there from the first day of installation and will hold its shape and finish for the life of the pool.
Built-in bench seating runs along the interior of the Corinthian 14, providing a partially-submerged seating zone between the tanning ledge and the main swim area. On a 14-foot wide pool the bench is generously proportioned and does not cut into the usable swim lane. It creates a natural gathering zone that works for adults unwinding after work just as well as it does for kids taking a break between laps.
The bench is part of the original fiberglass shell. No hardware, no grout, no maintenance beyond what the pool itself requires.
The Corinthian 14 is engineered from the start to accept an automatic safety cover. On a pool with a tanning ledge, the auto cover has an added benefit beyond safety: it keeps the ledge clean, free of debris, and ready to use every time you open the pool.
